Upper Respiratory Tract
The Upper Respiratory Tract is the upper part of the respiratory system, starting from the nose, mouth and oral region. The Upper Respiratory Tract is distinguished from the Lower Respiratory Tract, which starts in the lower reaches of the lungs. Common upper respiratory tract symptoms include cough, sore throat, cold-like symptoms, and so on. The most common affliction of the upper respiratory tract is an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI), such as the common cold, flu, croup, etc.
