The vulva is the external female genital region. The inner region is called the vagina, and is not part of the vulva. The vulva includes the labia, clitoris, urethral opening, and female pubic hair. Vulva disorders include vulvitis, which is inflammation (or infection) of the outer vulval region, and vulvovaginitis, which is an inflammation of both internal and external regions.
