Eye Disorders: Overview

Eye disorders can involve vision disorders or physical problems with the eye. Eye disorders may also be called “Ophthalmic Disorders”. Trauma to the eye may include eye injury, corneal scratch, foreign body in the eye (grit in the eye), etc. Common eye symptoms include eye pain, watery eyes, dry eyes, eye pain, scratchy eye, and other eye symptoms. Eye infections include conjunctivitis (viral conjunctivitis), stye, and other eye infections. Eye disorders can be categorized according to the part of the eye: lens disorders, retinal disorders, corneal disorders, iris disorders, tear duct disorders, etc. Other related categories include eyelid disorders, eyebrow disorders, and orbital disorders. There are many types of vision symptoms (e.g. blurred vision, dry eyes) and vision disorders (e.g. short-sighted, far-sighted, astigmatism, glaucoma, cataract, etc.).
